She firmly believes that patients and their families should be actively engaged and empowered as part of this team during their treatment.

In 2017 she undertook further specialty training at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney, completing a Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery as part of the Sydney Head and Neck Cancer Institute program. During her Fellowship, she trained under Head and Neck, General, Ear Nose Throat and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, which enabled her to be exposed to all aspects of Head and Neck surgery including the management of oral cavity cancer, advanced skin cancer, melanoma and salivary gland pathology. She developed a special interest in the reconstructive management of complex Head and Neck conditions and is trained in microvascular free-flap reconstructive surgery.

She also has an interest in TMJ dysfunction and pathology, and completed a mini-Residency in TMJ surgery with the University of Maryland, USA. She aims to provide patients with progressive and comprehensive TMJ dysfunction treatment from minimally invasive TMJ arthroscopic surgery to TMJ replacement surgery.
